James has been in the bathroom industry in one form or another since he left school in 1977. Firstly an apprentice plumbing and heating engineer until his mid 30’s.

After a serious leg injury James joined a London based bathroom retailer with 6 showrooms trading as Simply Bathrooms. Over the next 4 years, James and 2 of his colleagues assisted the owners in creating what was to become the most successful brand in the bathroom industry of all times Bathstore.

James and his colleagues helped the owners to grow the chain into a brand that was then franchised into 170 stores nationwide. James sold his shares in 2007, the moment the decision was made to source from the Far East. This was the end of sourcing from the original leading British and European manufacturers. The following few years started the demise of such a well respected and innovative brand. Since 2007 James has been trading independently in the bathroom industry and working with some of the finest brands and best installers.

BOSI – Solutions has been launched in Hampshire & Dorset now that James relocated here in 2023.
